Data Entry Specialist

We are seeking a full time, seeking a full-time, Data Entry Specialist to add to our team. The primary role of our Data Entry Department is to gather analytical data from our Analytical Staff and to funnel this data into our analytical reports using our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) database.

Responsibilities and Duties:

The candidate must be available to work Monday through Friday; 11am-8pm. The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • A high school or equivalent degree
  • Strong computer skills including advanced Excel and Access skills/knowledge and the ability to learn new systems and terminology
  • A high degree of attention to details and correctness

VBA Coding Position

We are currently seeking a full-time, entry level VBA coder to add to our IT support team. Familiarity with VBA in Excel and Access is required.

The ideal candidate will be extremely familiar with the operation of both Excel and Access, have experience in and the desire to code in VBA, ability to work effectively as part of a team, ability to follow instructions, is a clear communicator, is reliable & has a good work ethic.

Modest coding experience is OK if the applicant is an expert user of Excel and Access as the position is supervised by an expert coder. Working knowledge of T-SQL and MS SQL Server is a plus.

Service Technician within the Laboratory

We are seeking a full time, skilled or entry level service technician to join our team for a day shift Monday through Friday; 9am – 6pm. This position reports to the head of our Service Engineering Department.

Responsibilities and Duties:

The candidate must be available to work Monday through Friday; 11am-8pm. The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • The technician is responsible for solving electro-mechanical & computer problems related to table top size laboratory instrumentation. The job is to fix and sometimes enhance our 50 plus types of analytical instrumentation.
  • Knowledge of scientific materials such as Viton, Teflon, EFI Ni, glass & quartz, and experience with laboratory instrumentation would be preferred.
  • The technician would be trained by experienced Engineers onsite and is expected to apply the learned knowledge in completing repairs.
  • Duties will also include various aspects of facilities maintenance.



Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma and/or a four-year college degree in engineering, computer science or other closely related science discipline.
  • Excellent mechanical & troubleshooting skills are the core qualification for this position.
  • Good computer hardware and software skills are essential.
  • Clear and concise communication with team members in all departments.
  • Multi-tasking is essential in the lab environment along with attention to detail in completing all tasks.
  • Must be a success oriented individual who has high standards for their job performance.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Teamwork driven personality with a strong work ethic and desire to learn from others as well as share your knowledge.

Lab Technician/Extractionist

We are seeking a full-time (40 hours/week), entry level Lab Technician/Extractionist to add to our team. Must be available to work Monday through Friday; 1-10pm. Weekend shift(s) in lieu weekday shifts may be available to the right candidate.

The ideal candidate will possess a high school or equivalent degree, have a strong work ethic & the ability to work effectively as part of a close-knit team. A scientific background is desired but not mandatory. The position requires good communication skills, an exceptional ability to effectively multi-task and excellent attention to details. Primary duties include: the preparation and extraction of environmental samples, predominantly soil, water samples, following laboratory SOPs; documentation of sample preparation; preparation of reagents; analytical standards; disposal of samples and other miscellaneous lab tasks. All training is provided.

Starting pay rate of $15.00/hr and includes medical insurance, dental reimbursement plan, 401(k), paid vacation & annual merit-based bonuses and raises are typical.

Wet Chemistry Analyst

We are seeking a full-time entry level, Wet Chemistry Analyst to add to our swing shift, Monday through Friday; 1-10pm.

The ideal candidate will hold a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent &/or college diploma &/or credits, have basic laboratory skills, the ability to work effectively as part of a team with a strong work ethic and desire to learn. This position requires a keen sense of organization, time management and the ability to multi-task. Good mechanical & troubleshooting skills are an asset.

The Wet Chemistry department follows EPA and Standard Methods procedures to generate data. Methodologies include pH, turbidity, color, odor, ORP, conductivity, MBAS, BOD, gravimetric analysis and many others. The analyst would be responsible for ensure analyses are completed accurately and within appropriate hold times for all types of environmental samples (drinking water, wastewater, soils and other matrices).
