VBA Coding Position

We are currently seeking a full-time, entry level VBA coder to add to our IT support team. Familiarity with VBA in Excel and Access is required.

The ideal candidate will be extremely familiar with the operation of both Excel and Access, have experience in and the desire to code in VBA, ability to work effectively as part of a team, ability to follow instructions, is a clear communicator, is reliable & has a good work ethic.

Modest coding experience is OK if the applicant is an expert user of Excel and Access as the position is supervised by an expert coder. Working knowledge of T-SQL and MS SQL Server is a plus.

GC Chemist

We are seeking a full time, skilled chemist to join our team for a day shift Monday through Friday; 9am – 6pm. The position available is for an intermediate level GC Chemist to work in the Chlorinated Pesticides Department.


The analyst is responsible for preparing standards, calibration, analyses of samples, and data review.


Analyses are to be done in accordance with prescribed EPA methods for GC, GC-FID, GC-PID, GC-ECD or GCMS. Samples submitted are tested within appropriate hold times for all types of environmental matrices (drinking water, wastewater, soils and other matrices).

Qualifications:

  • A four-year college degree in chemistry or other closely related science discipline.
  • Candidate will have working laboratory experience and basic lab skill set.
  • Clear and concise communication with Project Managers.
  • Multi-tasking is essential in the lab environment along with attention to detail in completing all tasks.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with a Laboratory Information Management (LIMS) database would be preferred.
  • Good mechanical & troubleshooting skills are an asset
  • Teamwork driven personality with a strong work ethic and desire to learn.

Marketing / Sales Representative

MAI is looking for someone to join our sales team to help our company grow in new and existing markets. You will be responsible for systematically exploring markets for sales leads, as well as staying abreast of new and developing fields in the industry. Some follow up and direct sales may be required.

You will work closely with our sales team, and interact extensively with our chemistry, R&D, and sample reception departments. You will report directly to the Laboratory Manager


Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for generating new clients, particularly by the systematic generation of leads, with the goal of expanding the organization’s revenue and testing capabilities.
  • Responsible for keeping up with new test methods and regulations within the environmental industry.
  • Assist with quote(s) generation for clients.
  • New client bids require consulting multiple departments or various resources to complete the proposal information and submission in a timely manner.
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs.
  • Enhance sales to existing clients.
  • Promote MAI’s laboratory testing services and capabilities available within our R&D department.
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.
  • Other duties may be requested by management outside the scope of sales.

Qualifications:

  • Successful previous experience as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong business sense and industry expertise.
  • Knowledge of laboratory testing capabilities and regulations being followed by CA ELAP, NELAP and ISO 17025.
  • Familiarity with NPDES permits with respect to understanding the testing needed and the appropriate testing intervals.
  • Familiarity with a Laboratory Information Management (LIMS) database, Khemia’s Omega is preferred.

Project Manager

MAI is currently seeking a full time Project Manager, for a 10am - 7pm shift, Monday through Friday, to add to our team.

Primary responsibilities include, the ability to communicate with clients regarding project/report status, review analytical data from laboratory personnel, issue analytical reports and collaborate with clients & lab staff to actuate project specific goals. This position requires a keen sense of time management, organization and attention to detail.

The ideal candidate will hold a four-year college degree in chemistry or other closely related science discipline; have a minimum of 5 years of laboratory experience ranging from laboratory bench work, method R&D, &/or project management skills and have the ability to work effectively as part of a team, have a strong work ethic and desire to learn. Strong knowledge of EPA, Standard Methods, NIOSH methodologies; state and federal environmental regulations and laboratory protocol is desirable
